  23.                                   Prologue

  25. Before giving information on this event I want to loose some weight on
  26. SIH 1 wich was held in Nijmegen/Holland in August 1993. These two days,
  27. were a new experience to us. WE had NEVER organised a party before, and
  28. the amount of visitors was far below the nescesary amount we needed to
  29. cover the costs. This resulted in us having to grap our OWN bank
  30. accounts to pays the costs. BUT: (almost) everybody agreed in the fact
  31. that the organisation WAS good because: We HAD clean toilets. We DID
  32. clean the place once in a while. We DID have good sound equipment. We
  33. DID NOT have any power failures. We DID pay the prizes, while we
  34. actually couldn't afford it. You DID have a good time and almost
  35. everybody stated that they WOULD come back for Somewhere In Holland ][ -
  36. The Amiga Convention 1994.

  38.           What IS happening, what can YOU expect and what do WE need?
  39.  
  40. Ok. Let's say: We got a hall, as you probably already know. We also know when
  41. the party will be held but at this point we CAN'T tell you. Why? Simple:
  42. Unsigned papers have no sign-bit and are therefore not valid in the world
  43. of electronics (???). At this point we are negotiating with several sponsors.
  44. This will probably be finished somewhere around the end of this week or maybe
  45. the beginning of next week...
  46.  
  47. What then, you'll suggest... Simple: We need YOU to do something for us
  48. (or yourself, that depends on how you look at it). YOU are the media, YOU
  49. are the SPREADPOINT, YOU are the WORLD and YOU are the VISITORS. This means
  50. that YOU can held the best commercial CAMPAIGN.
  51. So: We need:      Spreadpoint Boards
  52.                   Swappers
  53. Knowing that the ma-bell-world goes quite fast, we're not in that kinda
  54. need of board-spreadpoints. We'll just dump the information on some known
  55. boards and it will go around in a day BUT: We have OVER 2000 (two-thousand)

  94. me it was bigger than the one from THE PARTY 2) filled again under the
  95. surveilance of the SAME organisers than respond now!

  132.   We couldn't just oranise an Assembly/Gathering/Party size party in 
  133. Holland! Within the Scandinavian borders there's a BIG party TRADITION.
